Using a different emulator isn't really an option in my case. That is definitely a step in the right direction. Have you considered just trying a different emulator? BizHawk is pretty good in my experience. For example, you can't use both triggers at once. peculiarities with how Xinput controllers are seen when using DirectInput.

Originally posted by Vithigar:I haven't tried it myself yet, but one thing worth noting is that Steam In-Home Streaming sends all controller input as Xinput, but Snes9x doesn't actually support Xinput directly and there are some. Really hoping I can figure out a solution that isn't just using analog sticks since that isn't really an option anyway on original gamepads and it's nice to be able to pick up and play in pretty much any room in my house. Is anyone else able to replicate this or is it just an issue on my end? I doubt this is an intended functionality. I've gone through button mapping and tried 8-way and 4-way options on all of them to no avail. If I switch to the analog sticks on the controllers that have them, diagonals work fine, but as far as the d-pad goes, diagonals don't work at all on any of them.

This happens with the SNES pad, multiple DS4 pads, and a wired Xbox 360 pad. Without using the steam link, everything works 100% as intended, but once I move out to my living room and try to play over the steam link, diagonals are completely gone. When I play SNES games, I'm using a USB SNES gamepad. I honestly hadn't noticed until pretty recently while trying to play through A Link to the Past. Where I've found problems is, d-pad diagonal inputs don't seem to register at all.

I use a secondary front end to handle emulator launching and for the most part this works great.
